Welcome to Brentwood Medical Aesthetics. These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between Brentwood Medical Aesthetics (“the Clinic”, “we”, “us”, “our”) and the patient (“you”, “your”). By booking an appointment or undergoing a consultation, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Professional Standards & Medical Oversight
- All clinical consultations and aesthetic procedures are performed by a GMC-registered Medical Practitioner.
- We operate under the professional standards and ethical guidelines set by the General Medical Council (GMC). 1.3. As a medical clinic, we prioritize clinical necessity and patient safety. We reserve the right to decline treatment if a procedure is deemed clinically inappropriate, unsafe, or not in the patient's best interest.
2. Bookings, Fees & Payments
- Booking Fee: A non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your appointment. This fee covers the clinical time for your consultation and will be deducted from the final treatment cost.
- Payment Terms: Full payment for the balance of the treatment is due immediately following the procedure. We accept all Major Credit/Debit cards, Bank Transfers & Cash.
- Pricing: While a guide price is available on our website, a final, bespoke quote will be provided during your consultation based on your specific clinical needs.
3. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- 48-Hour Policy: We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
- Late Cancellations: If you cancel or reschedule within 48 hours of your appointment, or fail to attend (No-Show), your booking fee will be forfeited.
- Late Arrivals: If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your scheduled time, we may be unable to see you. In this instance, the appointment will be treated as a late cancellation and the fee forfeited.
4. Medical History & Patient Responsibility
- Accuracy of Information: You agree to provide a full and accurate medical history, including any allergies, current medications (prescribed or over-the-counter), previous aesthetic treatments, and pregnancy/breastfeeding status.
- Liability: Brentwood Medical Aesthetics cannot be held liable for adverse reactions or suboptimal results occurring due to a failure to disclose relevant medical information.
- Age Restriction: In accordance with the Botulinum Toxin and Cosmetic Fillers (Children) Act 2021, we do not treat anyone under the age of 18. Valid photo ID may be required.
5. Treatment Outcomes & Clinical Expectations
- No Guarantees: Aesthetic medicine is not an exact science. Whilst we use medical expertise to achieve the best possible result, biological responses vary. No guarantee can be made regarding the total elimination of wrinkles, skin imperfections, or the longevity of a product.
- Restorative Approach: Our clinic focuses on subtle, natural-looking restoration. We do not perform treatments that we believe would result in an unnatural or "overfilled" appearance.
- Follow-up Appointments: For specific treatments (e.g., Anti-Wrinkle Injections), a review may be offered between 14 and 21 days post-treatment. Reviews requested outside this window may incur a further charge.
6. Complications & Aftercare
- Inherent Risks: All medical-aesthetic procedures carry inherent risks, including but not limited to bruising, swelling, asymmetry, or infection. These will be discussed during your informed consent process.
- Aftercare Compliance: You agree to follow the post-treatment aftercare instructions provided by the doctor. Failure to do so may negatively impact your results and increase the risk of complications.
- Emergency Contact: In the event of an urgent post-treatment concern (e.g., signs of vascular compromise or severe allergic reaction), you must contact the clinic immediately using the emergency contact details provided at your appointment.
7. Photography & Clinical Records
- Medical Records: As a medical facility, we are required to take "Before and After" photographs for your confidential clinical records.
- Marketing Consent: Photographs will never be used for marketing, social media, or our website without your separate, explicit, and written consent. You have the right to withdraw this marketing consent at any time.
- Data Protection: All personal and medical data is stored securely in compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
8. Right to Refuse Service
- Right to Refuse: We reserve the right to refuse treatment to any individual who we believe is not a suitable candidate for aesthetic intervention, including cases of suspected Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD).
9. Complaints Policy
- We are committed to providing excellent care. If you are dissatisfied with your treatment, please contact us in writing at connect@brentwood.clinic within 7 days. We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and aim to provide a full clinical response within 20 working days.
10. Governing Law
- These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
